At OpenGov, we are dedicated to powering more effective and accountable government through our cloud software, which serves over 1,800 agencies across the nation. As a DevOps Engineer III, you will join our mission-driven team to build and maintain the multi-tenant SaaS solutions that help communities modernize their infrastructure and improve public services.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available, scalable multi-tenant SaaS environments within AWS.
- Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Enforce strict security policies and collaborate with compliance teams to meet industry standards like SOC2 and StateRamp.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as Grafana.
- Lead incident investigations and develop effective response protocols.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous technical improvement.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer science discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with a primary focus on cloud operations, security, and DevOps.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience running Kubernetes at scale in a production environment.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, Go, or Ruby.
- Deep expertise in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, and IAM.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Windows management tools.
- Familiarity with SQL.
