DevOps Engineer II at CommerceIQ

The role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer II to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. In this role, you will be responsible for the health, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. You will serve as a key partner to our engineering teams, providing hands-on expertise to evolve our systems and tools while ensuring our platform remains robust enough to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.

Core responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS and GCP, utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Manage and optimize our CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to ensure efficient deployment cycles and high-quality software delivery.
• Implement and oversee containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to support our microservices architecture and improve overall system performance.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this position, you should bring a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 6 years of professional technology experience, with 4 years specifically focused on Python, Kubernetes, and cloud environments like AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in Linux-based infrastructure and a deep understanding of programming languages such as Ruby, Java, and Python.
• Proven experience managing the operations, deployment, and security of SaaS or B2C products.
• Hands-on expertise with log and metric collection tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and the EFK stack.
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement root cause solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team using tools like JIRA and Slack.
