The role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer II to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level, hybrid position based in the United States. You will work closely with our DevSecOps Lead to manage our IT infrastructure, respond to incidents, and maintain our systems. This role is a blend of traditional operations and software engineering, as you will use code to manage our infrastructure while ensuring we adhere to our quality and security standards.

Core responsibilities

• Maintain, upgrade, and install computer systems while providing technical support and detailed documentation.
• Design and implement automated solutions with a security-first mindset to solve real-world problems.
• Collaborate daily with the team to coordinate projects, perform code reviews, and manage infrastructure as code using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience working in IT, DevOps, or a related technical field.
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent amount of professional experience.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code practices and experience working with major operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with database management using MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
