Welcome to Toku. We are a global compensation and employment platform that simplifies how companies handle tax calculations, employment solutions, and non-cash compensation like stock or token grants. We have become a vital partner for crypto companies during token generation events, and our flagship product, Token Grant Administration, has already processed billions of dollars in value. With 20 million dollars in funding from top investors like Blockchain Capital and Protocol Labs, we are growing quickly and looking for talented people to help us build the future of token infrastructure.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior DevOps and Infra Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates anywhere. In this role, you will be responsible for both the technical and cultural execution of our infrastructure, working directly on high-impact products that our users interact with every day. We are looking for someone who can help us bridge the gap between complex token compensation systems and the real world.
What will you do?
- Collaborate closely with our product and sales teams to develop strategy and find effective technical solutions.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, API design, and strong typing across our systems.
- Create and document best practices to ensure our engineering team can scale effectively while maintaining a high technical bar.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment. You should have a track record of building and scaling systems from the ground up.
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience, ideally within a venture-backed startup.
- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, specifically with scaling infrastructure from the early stages.
- 3 to 4 years of experience focusing on infrastructure and tooling to improve developer productivity.
- 1 to 2 years of experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with Digital Ocean is considered a helpful asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously while coordinating with founders.
- A hustler mentality, with a passion for building systems and shipping code daily.
What's in it for you?
We are a remote-first company that values flexibility and high-quality work. Joining our team comes with several perks designed to support your success.
- A remote-first work culture that offers flexible working hours.
- Competitive equity in the company.
- An Apple laptop to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed.
