What you bring
As a Senior Device Management Engineer, you will serve as a vital escalation point for our Service Desk and take ownership of the administration of our enterprise estate, which encompasses over 12,000 devices. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bury, BL9 8RR, and requires a dedicated professional to manage our technology infrastructure through project work and daily service requests. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for escalated device incidents while collaborating with vendors and internal teams to drive resolutions.
- Managing the central administration of devices, including application deployment, group policy, and anti-virus systems.
- Overseeing the lifecycle of operating system images and packaging enterprise applications to ensure they meet our security standards.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in managing enterprise devices, whether they are Microsoft, Android, or Apple platforms. You must be proficient with centralized management tools like SCCM, MECM, Jamf, or Soti, and have a solid grasp of mobile device management solutions. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of networking concepts, such as DNS and DHCP, as well as experience supporting Office 365. You should be comfortable working within an ITIL environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure, and the interpersonal communication skills necessary to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
