What you'll be doing
- You will manage multiple software engineering teams, typically overseeing 8 to 15 direct reports, while acting as a mentor, mediator, and strategic planner to ensure project success.
- You will optimize engineering operations by owning project timelines, facilitating technical workflows, and ensuring your teams remain productive and protected from burnout.
- You will cultivate a high-performance culture by building strong, trusting relationships with your reports, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing career development coaching.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a background that balances technical depth with leadership capability:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 8 years of industry experience, including a proven track record in technical leadership or management.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience working with agile methodologies like Scrum and familiarity with source control tools such as GitHub.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to document complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- The ability to lead teams of 4 or more employees effectively.
- Fluency in English.
