Development Engineer at Arevon

We are Arevon, a prominent leader in the renewable energy sector dedicated to providing clean and reliable power to businesses and utilities across the United States. Our team focuses on the entire lifecycle of utility-scale solar, energy storage, and distributed generation assets, from initial development and financing to construction and long-term operation. We are currently looking for a Development Engineer to join our engineering department and help us advance our site designs from the earliest development stages through to the final contracting process.

What you'll be doing

• You will serve as the primary technical lead and engineering contact for our origination and development teams, supporting new utility-scale solar and battery storage bidding opportunities.
• You will conduct thorough due diligence on potential greenfield and M&A assets to evaluate their feasibility and risk.
• You will manage internal and external resources to create preliminary designs, performance estimates, and cost schedules that will be integrated into our project proposals.

What you'll bring

• You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• You have 3 to 5 years of hands-on engineering experience within the solar, BESS, or a closely related industry.
• You possess a solid understanding of civil engineering concepts and practices.
• You are familiar with the design and optimization of PV and BESS projects, including knowledge of equipment suppliers and technical specifications.
• You have excellent organizational and communication skills, allowing you to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and project control tools, with a preference for experience using AutoCAD or ArcGIS.
• You have a strong command of the English language.
