At Aztec, we are on a mission to bring true privacy to the Ethereum ecosystem. In a world where public blockchains often force users to sacrifice their personal data for the sake of trust, we are changing the narrative. Our team of world-class scientists and engineers, who developed the industry-standard Plonk zkSNARK and the Noir programming language, is now building a groundbreaking Layer 2 solution featuring private smart contracts. With $125 million in backing from top-tier investors like a16z crypto and Paradigm, we are scaling rapidly to bring this vision to market. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for privacy and wants to help us build a robust, decentralized future.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Developer Relations professional for Network Infrastructure to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. You will serve as the heartbeat of our infrastructure community, ensuring that our network remains secure, healthy, and vibrant. This role is a unique blend of high-level technical support and community building. You will act as the bridge between our core engineering team and the diverse group of operators who power our network, ranging from individual home stakers to large-scale professional custodial operations. Your work will directly influence the long-term success and decentralization of the Aztec network.
A day in the life
- You will nurture a welcoming community of infrastructure providers, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to maintain the liveness and security of the Aztec network.
- You will act as a technical guide by troubleshooting issues for node operators, creating educational documentation, and producing content that simplifies the process of running our infrastructure.
- You will analyze the health of our provider ecosystem, running experiments and gathering direct feedback from operators to help us improve our node software and network performance.
Who you are
You are a mid-level professional with a deep interest in the intersection of cryptography and community management. You thrive in environments that require both technical rigor and interpersonal skill. Your background includes:
- At least 3 years of experience in open-source community engagement and management.
- Strong technical knowledge of blockchain infrastructure, including experience with Docker, AWS, and cloud computing.
- A solid understanding of peer-to-peer networking, monitoring tools, and decentralized systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor others.
- Familiarity with Ethereum infrastructure is considered a significant bonus.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in rewarding our team for the impact they make. You will enjoy a culture that values flexibility, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. Our benefits include:
- A highly competitive compensation package that includes equity.
- A truly flexible and remote work environment that allows you to work from anywhere.
- 25 days of paid time off plus bank holidays to ensure you have time to recharge.
- The chance to work alongside a world-class team at the very cutting edge of blockchain and zero-knowledge technology.
