The opportunity

We are looking for a Developer Relations Lead to serve as a primary technical advocate for our open-source project and our cloud-scale data and AI platform. As our first dedicated hire in this space, you will work closely with our CEO to shape our developer marketing strategy and establish Spice AI as a go-to solution for intelligent applications. This is a hands-on role where you will bridge the gap between our engineering team and the developer community, ensuring that our users have the tools, documentation, and support they need to succeed.

A day in the life

• You will create high-quality technical content, including tutorials, blog posts, and documentation that help developers understand how to leverage our compute engine.
• You will engage directly with our community across social media, forums, and at industry events to provide support and gather feedback that directly influences our product roadmap.
• You will build and maintain sample applications and demos that showcase the power of our technology, occasionally contributing code directly to our repositories.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with 4 to 6 years of experience in developer relations, advocacy, or product marketing. You possess a deep technical background, particularly in data platforms, distributed systems, and AI/ML. You are comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences, and you have a proven track record of building engaged communities. You are fluent in English and have a talent for distilling complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language. Most importantly, you are a creative problem solver who thrives in the fast-paced environment of a startup.
