At Diagrid, we believe that open-source software, open standards, and APIs are the most powerful tools for transformation in the modern era of software development. Our mission is to provide developers with the infrastructure and tools they need to focus entirely on their code. By creating higher-level abstractions, we help organizations build consistent, secure, and reliable applications that remain portable across multiple clouds and on-premises environments. Founded by the creators of Dapr and KEDA, we are backed by industry-leading investors and are committed to simplifying distributed applications for developers everywhere.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Developer Relations Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position that serves as the public face and community heartbeat for both Dapr and Diagrid. You will be responsible for owning our community growth, content strategy, and developer engagement efforts from start to finish. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys coding in public and possesses a passion for turning complex distributed systems and AI agent concepts into approachable, delightful experiences for our global community.
Core responsibilities
- Grow and nurture the community by moderating our digital platforms, answering technical questions, and fostering a welcoming, high-signal environment for contributors.
- Create high-quality technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, architectural guides, and sample applications that showcase the power of Dapr and AI agents.
- Represent the company publicly by leading webinars, hosting live demos, speaking at conferences, and acting as a trusted advocate for our open-source projects.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in software engineering and community building. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, or microservices.
- Proven experience in Developer Relations, advocacy, or community management, with a track record of creating content that gains traction.
- Proficiency in building demos and shipping code using languages such as Python, Go, TypeScript, or .NET.
- A strong ability to communicate complex topics, such as stateful workflows and actor models, with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Deep familiarity with the Dapr ecosystem or similar workflow orchestration projects.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a supportive environment designed to help you thrive both personally and professionally. Our benefits include:
- Equity compensation to ensure you share in the success of the company.
- Flexible work location with a remote-first culture.
- Paid time off that allows for a healthy work-life balance.
- Medical insurance coverage.
- Home office budget to help you set up your ideal workspace.
- Company retreats and team gatherings to foster collaboration.
How to apply
If you are passionate about open-source technology and want to help developers build more resilient systems, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application, including your resume and any examples of your past work, such as blog posts, videos, or open-source contributions, to be considered for this position.
