About the Role
We are offering a Developer Internship, which is a hands-on internship position. This role is designed for senior-level students who want to gain practical experience by contributing to our core software systems and financial data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new software applications and improve the functionality of our current systems.
- Design and implement tools that effectively process, store, and analyze various forms of trade, quote, and financial data.
- Collaborate directly with our quantitative research analysts, traders, and implementation programmers to deliver robust technical solutions.
Requirements
- You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focusing on Computer Science or Mathematics.
- We prefer candidates with programming experience in C++ or Java, particularly within a Linux environment.
- A strong academic background is essential for this role.
- You should possess exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with shell scripts and languages such as Perl, Bash, or CSH is considered a significant advantage.
- Experience working with relational databases like Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle is also a plus.
