About Us

Roadmap.sh is a subsidiary of Insight Media Group, LLC (IMG). At roadmap.sh and IMG, we believe everyone should be able to skill up and grow in their career. We are building an educational platform that provides interactive learning charts, visual guides, illustrative content, and other educational material that developers can use to identify the skills gaps, learn, and advance in their careers. The platform is opensource, has a large community, and is the 6th most starred project on GitHub. The website is visited by hundreds of thousands of developers every month, and has impacted the lives of millions of developers.

Community is at the heart of everything we do; whether it is feedback, new roadmap contributions, content contributions, bug fixes, or improvements to the platform, the community is a part of everything. Developers interact with us through GitHub issues, pull requests, and social media channels. The project is growing massively, and we are looking for an experienced Developer Advocate to help us sustain the growth. While you have a software development background, you should be driven and motivated by helping and educating others and working with developers of all experience levels.

Here are some of the typical responsibilities of a Developer Advocate at roadmap.sh:

Work with freelance authors and community contributors to create, review, update and publish Roadmaps, articles, best practices and other website sections.
Manage discussions on issues and pull requests on the 6th most starred project on GitHub
Writing copy and articles to help increase search traffic and guide readers to signing up and using our roadmaps
Scripting and recording videos on closely related topics to our roadmaps for our Youtube channel
Reaching out to third-party publishers, bloggers, communities and influencers to collaborate on written contributions, backlinks, interviews, surveys, etc.
Work with media and journalists that are relevant to Roadmap.sh to provide insights and get exposure in return
Engage and become active in communities like Linkedin, Reddit, X and Facebook groups, to increase awareness for our roadmaps and related content whenever relevant
Keep an eye out for the trends and suggest changes to the roadmaps through data-driven suggestions.
Manage and share feedback received through different channels
Compile and write our email newsletters and automated drips for our community of followers
Curate highly relevant and helpful/valuable Social Media content from third-party brands active in our space, to use on our own Social Media profiles as well as email newsletters
