Are you ready to lead the charge in the cloud native revolution? At Upbound, we are the team behind Crossplane, the open source project that pioneered the control plane movement. We provide organizations with a Universal Cloud Platform that offers real-time visibility and an API-centric approach to managing infrastructure. If you are passionate about shaping the future of cloud technology and want to be at the forefront of this ecosystem, we would love for you to join our mission.
What you bring
As a Senior Developer Advocate, you will operate at the intersection of engineering and evangelism. This full-time, remote position requires you to act as both a technical product expert and an ecosystem influencer. You will bridge the gap between our core products and the developer community by reducing friction and building meaningful relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing strategies to increase developer awareness and product adoption.
- Creating high-quality technical content, including blogs, videos, tutorials, and white papers, to help users succeed with our platform.
- Collaborating closely with our engineering and marketing teams to influence product roadmaps and represent the voice of the developer.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who brings at least five years of combined experience in developer advocacy and technical roles like software engineering or operations. You should be highly proficient in Go and well-versed in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure concepts. Success in this role requires the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, whether through written documentation or live technical presentations. You should have a proven track record of growing developer communities and a passion for solving technical challenges. Experience contributing to the upstream Kubernetes community or writing controllers in Go is considered a significant advantage.
What we offer
We believe that building world-class technology goes hand in hand with fostering a supportive and inclusive culture. Our team values accountability, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to our customers and community. By joining us, you will work in an environment that prioritizes your professional growth and impact. We are proud to offer the following benefits:
- The flexibility of remote work.
- An inclusive environment where you are encouraged to be your authentic self.
- The opportunity to contribute to a high-growth, open source-focused organization.
How to Apply
If you are excited about the prospect of leading the modernization of the cloud native ecosystem, we encourage you to reach out. Please submit your application with confidence, as we value the unique perspectives that individuals from all backgrounds bring to our team. We look forward to hearing from you and exploring how your skills can help us continue to innovate.
