The role

We are seeking a Senior Detection & Response Engineer to join our Security Response Team. This is a full-time, remote position available to candidates anywhere, though it is specifically focused on supporting our operations in the Asia Pacific region. You will play a vital role in our security posture, requiring a proactive mindset and a passion for engineering-led defense. Please note that this position involves occasional overnight and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Core responsibilities

• Define and monitor high-fidelity security alerts to ensure robust threat detection across our infrastructure.
• Lead incident response efforts to resolve security threats and minimize organizational risk.
• Identify security gaps and drive continuous improvements to our security stack, including proactive vulnerability management.

Skills and experience

• At least 5 years of experience in security operations, specifically managing incidents from initial triage through to final remediation.
• Practical experience working with SIEM tools such as Splunk or ELK.
• Solid working knowledge of cloud environments, particularly Amazon Web Services.
• Deep understanding of security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain to defend against modern threats.
• Proficiency in Python or shell scripting to automate security tasks.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
