About the Role
We are searching for a Detection and Response Engineer to join our Security Response Team. This is a full-time, remote position specifically for candidates based in the Latin America region. In this role, you will be a vital part of our efforts to protect our platform, requiring a proactive mindset toward threat hunting and security engineering. Please note that this position involves occasional weekend and overnight on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor high-fidelity security alerts to ensure robust threat detection across our infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts to effectively resolve security threats and mitigate organizational risk.
- Proactively identify security gaps and engineer improvements to strengthen our existing security stack.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Security Operations, specifically managing incidents from initial triage through final remediation.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, such as Splunk or ELK.
- Practical experience working with Amazon Web Services.
- A solid understanding of security frameworks like the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK to defend against sophisticated attacks.
- Strong capability in shell scripting or Python.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Location
This role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in Latin America.
