About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Destiny Gameplay Engineer to join our Commercialization team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the various products and offerings that our players interact with daily. You will work within our proprietary engine to expand its capabilities while collaborating with a fun, energetic team to deliver high-quality player experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with our business, design, and UI teams to identify and implement effective technical solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve the features, workflows, and tools that support our commercialization efforts.
• Write and maintain production-quality C++ code while collaborating across disciplines to build new technology, including scalable online services.

Requirements

• Professional experience developing in C++.
• Proven experience working with large-scale client-server architectures.
• Background in building or supporting systemic gameplay features, such as in-game storefronts, purchasing systems, economy, itemization, or progression.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve project goals.

This position is available to candidates located anywhere, with a hybrid work model supported.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this role is structured into two ranges based on experience and business needs. Range I is $162,000 to $191,000 USD, and Range II is $200,000 to $235,000 USD.
