The opportunity

We are looking for a Desktop Support Co-op to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will be a vital part of our infrastructure operations, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and securely. You will help us maintain the hardware and software that keep our organization moving forward. This internship is designed to give you hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment where you will participate in technical research, system administration, and infrastructure development. A day in the life

• You will keep our systems healthy by performing daily monitoring, verifying the availability of IT infrastructure, and ensuring that scheduled jobs like backups are completed successfully.
• You will act as a primary point of contact for technical issues, working closely with others to troubleshoot problems, provide timely updates, and document our internal procedures.
• You will manage the lifecycle of our desktop environment, which includes installing and configuring software, handling user account updates, and monitoring endpoint security to keep our digital workspace safe.

• Experience with diverse operating systems including Windows 10, Apple OSX, Linux, iOS, and Android.
• Knowledge of directory services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and LDAP.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong communication skills in English, allowing you to collaborate effectively with your teammates.
