About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer for a full-time, on-site position. In this role, you will provide high-quality, customer-focused technical support to our user community. You will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining technological tools across our corporate offices and managed properties. This position involves complex problem management, infrastructure support, and collaboration with senior team members to upgrade and optimize our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex operating errors escalated from tier 1 support teams.
- Install and configure software and hardware updates while ensuring all workstations remain compliant with organizational security standards.
- Manage and support audiovisual equipment, including web conferencing systems and meeting room technology, to ensure seamless collaboration.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent combination of professional experience.
- At least six years of experience in a client-focused, technical support role.
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in network fundamentals, including Cisco routers, firewalls, and DNS.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and Group Policy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for end users.
- Experience with ServiceNow and SharePoint is highly valued.
- IT certifications such as Microsoft, Apple, ITIL, or PMI are considered a plus.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like cable management under desks.
