The role

We are seeking a senior-level Design Lead to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote role open to candidates located in India. You will serve as a hybrid leader, balancing hands-on design work with the mentorship of a team of four designers. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership to turn complex challenges into intuitive, high-quality product experiences.

Core responsibilities

• Lead by doing: Act as an individual contributor on key design projects while modeling excellent design practices for your team to follow.
• Manage projects and people: Oversee the design team's output, establish clear and transparent processes, and foster a supportive culture that prioritizes professional growth and high-impact work.
• Drive strategy and research: Define the long-term design vision for our platform, conduct user research to identify pain points, and advocate for design-led solutions across the organization.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in human-computer interaction and a desire to build meaningful products. We look for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in UX, UI, or human-computer interaction design.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a management or leadership capacity.
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering and product management teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch.
• Exceptional skills in wireframing, Figma, and strategic design thinking.
• A data-driven mindset with the ability to use research and testing to validate design hypotheses.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can manage your own projects while supporting others.
