We are looking for a dedicated Design Engineer HVAC Co-Op Intern to join our team on-site in the United States. At NDBS, we pride ourselves on a culture of innovation and collaboration, where you will work directly alongside industry pioneers to develop your skills in a dynamic and creative environment.

Responsibilities

Assist our engineering staff with the mechanical design of HVAC, plumbing, and fuel gas systems for a variety of commercial, retail, and institutional projects.
Develop technically sound, efficient, and cost-effective construction documents.
Perform essential engineering calculations, including energy modeling, HVAC loads, and ventilation or dust collection sizing.
Design and calculate industrial piping systems for specific building projects.
Coordinate project details with architects, vendors, building officials, and owners throughout the design phase.
Support the construction phase by reviewing shop drawings and responding to requests for information.

Must-haves

Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
A proactive approach to problem solving, including the ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and continuous professional development.
The ability to interpret complex technical documents, manuals, and mathematical diagrams.

Nice-to-haves

Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience or familiarity with Revit.
