DataOps Engineer at Controlup

As a leader in Digital Employee Experience, we unify IT operations into a single platform that combines real-time monitoring with proactive remediation. We help IT teams reduce complexity and prevent issues before they affect employees. We are currently looking for a Senior DataOps Engineer to join our team in Israel and help us ensure our database systems remain reliable, scalable, and high-performing.

What you'll be doing

• You will manage and maintain our database ecosystem, including ClickHouse, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch, while ensuring high availability and robust security.
• You will monitor the health and performance of our infrastructure, including storage and replication, while using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine database tasks and CI/CD workflows.
• You will collaborate directly with our software developers to design efficient database schemas, tune complex SQL queries, and troubleshoot issues throughout the development and testing lifecycle.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in database architecture and infrastructure. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• At least 3 years of professional experience working as a DataOps Engineer.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale, multi-terabyte databases and optimizing complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like OpenSearch or ClickHouse, as well as RDBMS platforms like MSSQL and PostgreSQL within cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Docker.
• Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
