Role at a glance
We are seeking a Database Engineer I to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position based on-site in India. You will play a key role in our engineering department, focusing on automation and database operations to ensure our platform remains fast, reliable, and secure.
Your impact
- Develop and implement automated processes for database maintenance, migrations, and recovery using Python to reduce manual effort.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure data moves accurately and efficiently between our various systems.
- Collaborate with DBAs and development teams to integrate cloud and DevOps tools like Jenkins and Chef, ensuring our database management is consistent, scalable, and audit-ready.
What you'll need
- At least two years of professional experience in database engineering or automation.
- Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and system integration.
- Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Fluency in English to effectively collaborate within our global team.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on compliance and data protection.
