Role at a glance
We’re hiring a Senior Database Architect on a full-time basis. The role is hybrid (home/office) and based in Herndon, VA. You’ll bring at least eight years of hands-on experience and report to our VP of Systems Development and Architecture.
Your impact
- Lead the design, rollout, and ongoing care of our database platforms so they scale smoothly, perform fast, and stay rock-solid.
- Build and refine complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers that power real-time analytics and keep data flowing cleanly across the business.
- Shape secure, resilient architectures in Azure while setting clear standards that help every team deliver reliable data solutions.
What you'll need
A bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, information systems, math, physics, or a related field, plus eight or more years working with MS SQL Server. You should be fluent in T-SQL, skilled at schema design and query optimization, and comfortable creating every kind of database object. Hands-on experience with Azure SQL resources and high-availability setups is essential, as is solid knowledge of .NET/C#, Docker, and Kubernetes for modern data workloads. You value clear feedback, juggle competing deadlines with ease, and stay curious about what’s next in database technology. All work is conducted in English.
Perks and compensation
We offer a salary range of $150,000 – $170,000 USD along with a competitive benefits package and the flexibility of hybrid work.
