Key outcomes
- Manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of our database infrastructure, focusing primarily on ClickHouse and PostgreSQL.
- Ensure our systems remain highly available and responsive by actively monitoring and tuning database performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain system efficiency.
- Create and execute robust strategies for database backup and disaster recovery.
- Establish and enforce comprehensive security policies to protect our data assets.
- Work closely with our development teams to refine schema designs and optimize complex queries.
- Act as a technical resource, providing guidance and support to our operations and engineering staff.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in database administration, with a deep focus on ClickHouse or PostgreSQL.
- Advanced knowledge regarding the architecture, configuration, and optimization of ClickHouse.
- Demonstrated success in applying performance tuning techniques to large-scale database environments.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working within an international team.
- Fluency in English.
