At Clarasight, we are on a mission to turn carbon emissions reduction into a core business imperative. We provide global enterprises with a Carbon Planning platform that helps them manage emissions, reduce risks, and protect revenues. Our software is trusted by some of the world's most recognizable companies, representing over $1T in market value, to help them align their climate-related actions with their business objectives. We are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about using data to bridge the gap between climate intentions and real-world impact.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Data Warehousing Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere. In this role, you will be a foundational member of our engineering team, helping us scale our infrastructure and refine how we handle complex data sets to support our growing global enterprise client base.
What will you do?
- Take ownership of our data warehouse, which serves as the backend for our B2B SaaS platform, and develop our long-term data architecture strategy.
- Manage the end-to-end process of data ingestion, including building robust ETL pipelines, implementing data quality protocols, and establishing clear governance policies.
- Collaborate closely with our product management, software development, and data science teams to democratize secure data access and ensure our infrastructure meets the highest standards for performance and reliability.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a meticulous engineer who thrives in the fast-paced environment of an early-stage startup. You have a deep passion for database technology and a proven ability to manage ambiguity. To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing best practices.
- A strong background in building data lakes or warehouses from scratch and scaling data platforms through significant growth.
- Proficiency with AWS and cloud-based data services, as well as experience with SQL, RDBMS, and modern ETL tools.
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a commitment to working within a diverse, international team.
What's in it for you?
Joining our team means you will play a key role in a mission-driven company at the forefront of climate technology. We offer a remote-first work environment and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Generous stock options.
- Full medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401k retirement planning.
- An annual $500 sustainability benefit to support your personal environmental goals.
- The opportunity to work with a world-class team of experts dedicated to solving one of the most important challenges of our time.
