We are looking for an inspired, forward-thinking Data Steward to join our remote team and help us protect our members through thick and thin.

What you'll be doing

• You will lead a cross-functional governance committee to design and implement best practices, policies, and procedures that ensure effective data lifecycle management across our organization.
• You will establish and maintain a centralized metadata catalog to document our data assets, schemas, and lineage while creating metrics to monitor data accuracy and completeness.
• You will define data access policies and implement security controls to protect sensitive information, ensuring our compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and GLBA.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in data management and a passion for building robust governance frameworks. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality roles.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with lakehouse architecture and federated governance protocols.
• Proficiency with modern data management platforms and tools, specifically Unity Catalog, Atlan, and Hex.
• A deep understanding of data privacy regulations and industry-standard governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the company.
• Fluency in English.
