About the opportunity:
Launch Housing recognises data as a key strategic asset. In 2024 Launch applied for and was granted funding to improve its data capability by the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). The uplift is to improve our programs and services to support early intervention via an improved data capability. Launch is undertaking a major data uplift project. This includes improvements in all areas of our data practice:
- Improve data governance
- Define data roles and responsibilities
- Implement a new cloud data warehouse environment
- Implement a new business intelligence platform (PowerBI)
- Implement improved data capture interface for client management database
The data specialist role will work with internal teams (IT/data) and external integrators to develop and implement the new technical environment as well as embed new data practices. As the internal technical lead for this project you will be the conduit between business and technical stakeholders to ensure the BI environment is setup for success. The data specialist will mentor others who are upskilling in PowerBI dashboard development as well as work with the L&D team on a suitable training program.
This is a full-time, maximum- term opportunity until March 2026.
