We are AppZen, and we lead the market in autonomous spend-to-pay software. Our patented artificial intelligence processes data from thousands of sources to help organizations gain deep insights into their enterprise spending. By integrating with existing finance workflows, our technology helps global enterprises, including one-third of the Fortune 500, reduce fraud and eliminate manual tasks. We are currently looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our team in India and help us advance our AI and machine learning capabilities.
What you'll be doing
- You will design, build, and evaluate sophisticated models for natural language processing, document extraction, and generative tasks.
- You will develop end-to-end machine learning pipelines, taking projects from initial data pre-processing all the way through to model inference and ongoing monitoring.
- You will collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to translate complex business requirements into high-impact, ML-driven product features.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and machine learning. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Two to five years of professional experience using Python, including a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with NLP and modern frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
- Applied knowledge of transformer models, LLMs, and generative AI in real-world production environments.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with Docker for containerization, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms like AWS is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills in English to thrive in our collaborative, fast-paced environment.
