The role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, meaning you can contribute to our mission from anywhere. We need someone who is passionate about applying advanced statistical methods and machine learning to real-world datasets.
Core responsibilities
- Apply advanced statistics, data mining, and machine learning algorithms to generate predictive models.
- Collaborate across teams to identify key questions and extract valuable insights from highly complex datasets.
- Utilize your expertise in machine learning methods, such as classification, clustering, and ensemble techniques, to optimize performance and drive decision-making.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in data science and a deep understanding of the following tools and concepts:
- Proficiency in Python, specifically using libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Expertise in SQL and database management with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing and document retrieval.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch is considered a significant advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively share your findings with the wider team.
