What is this role?

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a mid-level position requiring at least two years of professional experience. You will be a key contributor to our product engineering efforts, focusing on the research, prototyping, and production-grade implementation of advanced AI systems. We are seeking someone who is passionate about solving complex technical problems and eager to work at the intersection of cutting-edge research and real-world application.

What will you do?

• Research and Innovation: You will stay at the forefront of the field by monitoring advancements in transformer architectures, multimodal systems, and real-time model inference to identify new applications for our business.
• Solution Design and Prototyping: You will define approaches for complex AI challenges, building proof-of-concept solutions and conducting experiments to validate technical feasibility before moving to production.
• Production Development: You will write clean, scalable code to build robust agentic workflows, implementing features like tool calling, function calling, and structured outputs while ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness.

What makes you a great fit?

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data science and machine learning, specifically with a focus on NLP and LLM applications. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• Mastery of Python and solid software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns and testing.
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks and APIs from providers like OpenAI and Anthropic.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with ML orchestration tools and agentic frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases like Faiss, as well as cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Git for version control and pytest for ensuring code quality.
• A solid understanding of REST APIs and building scalable backend services.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset for working within multi-disciplinary teams.
