We have already provided over £4 billion in funding to 100,000 businesses, and we are looking for a talented individual to join our mission of supporting one million SMEs in their most critical moments.
What you bring
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Acquisition Technology team on a full-time, hybrid basis in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you will act as a key driver of our growth strategy by embedding yourself within a cross-functional unit of engineers, designers, and product managers. Your expertise in Machine Learning, Statistics, and Probability will be essential as you tackle the following responsibilities:
- Design and execute controlled experiments across our paid and organic channels to identify the primary drivers of customer conversion.
- Build and refine sophisticated frameworks for search and social advertising to optimize our performance and bidding strategies.
- Develop predictive lead scoring models and attribution frameworks that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for our sales and marketing teams.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in a quantitative field like Mathematics or Physics. You must be highly proficient with data manipulation tools such as Pandas and scientific computing libraries like NumPy, Scipy, or Matlab. We value candidates who can work autonomously, managing projects from the initial question to the final delivery. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will need to explain technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders. Experience with Python is highly regarded, and any additional knowledge of Bayesian statistics or stochastic processes will certainly set your application apart.
What we offer
We offer a competitive salary range of 78,000 to 117,000 USD for this position, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal well-being. We are committed to fostering a culture of growth and balance through the following perks:

- Medical insurance and wellness programs.
- Free gym membership.
- Paid time off and an employee assistance program.
- Equity compensation and a 401k plan.
- Maternity and paternity leave.
- Commuter benefits and regular company retreats.
- A dedicated learning budget to support your professional development.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about using data to empower small businesses and want to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to join our team and help us shape the future of SME finance.
