We are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our team on-site in the United States to help us continue building confidence in every online interaction.

Key outcomes

• Perform deep dives into large, complex datasets to uncover patterns, anomalies, and signals essential for device fingerprinting.
• Develop and evaluate machine learning models for device identification and grouping using appropriate performance metrics.
• Conduct research into new data sources and techniques, creating prototypes for potential solutions.
• Collaborate closely with our data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate solutions and share actionable findings.
• Document your methodologies and present your analysis to internal teams and broader audiences.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently finished a PhD, or on a Master’s to PhD track, in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, including browsers and HTTP.
• Practical experience with machine learning techniques such as classification, anomaly detection, or clustering through projects or coursework.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets using Python or similar languages.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database interaction.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges where answers are not immediately obvious.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
