We are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our team in Boston on an on-site basis. At Vectra, we lead the industry in AI-driven threat detection and response for hybrid and multi-cloud enterprises. Our platform uses patented Attack Signal Intelligence to help security teams identify and stop advanced cyber-attacks across cloud, identity, and network environments. With 35 patents and extensive recognition in MITRE D3FEND, we provide the tools organizations need to defend themselves against modern threats. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to apply advanced machine learning and modeling techniques to help us stop hackers in real time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new methods to detect malicious or anomalous network behaviors using cutting-edge AI techniques.
- Work on a meaningful project that will be integrated directly into our core product.
- Engage in collaboration with our engineering teams to solve complex, real-world security challenges.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related computational field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- A strong foundation in machine learning or mathematics, with a proven ability to tackle difficult technical problems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to thrive in our collaborative environment.
