The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to focus on our hydrogen electrolysis systems. In this full-time, on-site role, you will bridge the gap between data science and engineering. You will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team that includes experts in process engineering, electrical engineering, automation, and service. Your work will directly influence how we monitor, optimize, and innovate our hydrogen production technology, ensuring that our systems operate with maximum efficiency and reliability.

A day in the life

• You will manage and improve our data collection systems and cloud infrastructure to ensure we have a robust foundation for all our analytical projects.
• You will perform deep statistical analysis on operational and status data from our hydrogen plants to generate actionable insights and key performance indicators.
• You will develop, test, and deploy data-driven models while creating automated reporting and alarm systems to proactively identify and address performance deviations.

Who you are

You are a motivated and innovative professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring a strong technical background and a desire to take ownership of your projects.

• You hold a degree in Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, ideally with a focus on process or energy technology.
• You are proficient in Python and have a solid grasp of data analysis techniques.
• Experience with IBA and AWS is highly desirable for this position.
• You possess excellent communication skills in both German and English, at a minimum of B2 level, allowing you to effectively share your findings with internal and external stakeholders.
