What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Superpowers)

Data Structuring & Preprocessing:

• Transform unstructured data (from Salesforce, emails, Slack messages, and calls) into structured insights.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Clean, organise, and preprocess large datasets to build reliable forecasting models.

Model Development & Optimization:

• Develop statistical models and ML algorithms that power sales forecasting.
• Apply generative AI, pattern recognition, and feature engineering to refine predictions.
• Continuously improve and optimize models as data patterns evolve.

Strategic Problem-Solving:

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand forecasting pain points.
• Define a roadmap for scalable, repeatable forecasting models.
• Ensure the models generate real, actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Continuous Innovation & Learning:

• Stay ahead of AI trends, experiment with transformers and embeddings, and bring fresh ideas.
• Monitor model performance and tweak features for long-term accuracy.

What You Bring to the Table

Technical Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of data science, statistics, and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R, with experience in AI tools such as transformers and embeddings.
• Expertise in handling unstructured data and developing forecasting models.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in data science, statistics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of addressing forecasting challenges, ideally in revenue, finance, or operations.
• Experience in full-time roles involving applied AI and data science solutions.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical results into business value.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Education:

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
