Have you ever wondered if you could use your technical expertise to help preserve the legacy of small businesses across the country? At Teamshares, we are on a mission to transform small firms into employee-owned companies. Since small businesses make up 98 percent of the American economy, we provide the software, education, and community tools necessary to help retiring owners pass their businesses to their employees. We are looking for someone passionate about this mission to join our team and help us shape the future of our organization.
What you bring
We are searching for a Data Science Manager to join us in a full-time capacity. This is a remote role, meaning you can work from anywhere. You will be a key leader in our engineering organization, helping us leverage data to gain a competitive advantage. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Formulating a clear vision for how data science methodologies can improve our business and advocating for that vision across the company.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff and peers to foster an environment of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
- Leading the team in designing and optimizing robust data pipelines to ensure high data quality and accessibility.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience as a people manager. You must be comfortable developing an analytic vision and motivating teams to achieve it. We are looking for someone with a strong background in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning. You should possess exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. Because you will be working with senior leadership and non-technical partners, you must have excellent communication and storytelling skills. Experience working at a high-growth company that has completed an IPO is also highly valued. Proficiency in English is required.
What we offer
We believe in supporting our team members with a comprehensive package that rewards your hard work and protects your well-being. Our benefits include:
- Equity compensation for all employees.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family.
- The flexibility of a remote work environment.
How to Apply
If you are excited about the prospect of using data to drive meaningful change and help small businesses thrive through employee ownership, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to our team to start a conversation about how your skills and experience align with our mission.
