What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Data Science Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in Germany. In this role, you will report to the Head of Platform and play a vital part in shaping our intelligence strategy. You will be responsible for building high-impact products that leverage machine learning and generative AI to change how energy traders operate.

What will you do?

• Lead our machine learning initiatives by defining how advanced technologies like LLMs and Generative AI can improve our trading marketplace.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end technical workflow for data science products, from initial ideation through to deployment in production.
• Collaborate with our commercial and engineering teams to identify practical use cases for ML and develop models that provide tangible value to our customers.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong academic background in a quantitative field and a deep interest in building production-ready data products. We are looking for someone who possesses the following skills and qualities:

• Strong proficiency in Python and expertise with machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, including working with large language models, vector databases, and frameworks like LangChain.
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of models using MLOps practices, along with technical familiarity with Docker, AWS, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• The ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Fluency in English.
