About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the high-performance data infrastructure that powers our AI-driven automation. You will work with modern cloud technologies to build systems that allow healthcare providers to deliver care more efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and construct robust data pipelines that handle both batch and streaming information from IoT, RTLS, and EHR sources.
- Build real-time event processing architectures by leveraging Kafka to ensure seamless data flow.
- Develop and manage data lakes and warehouses, including the creation of scalable data layers that support advanced machine learning and analytics.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong technical background and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar platform-focused role.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for automation and data processing tasks.
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks, specifically Apache Spark.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and their associated data services.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Expertise in TimeScale and experience with streaming and batch processing via Kafka.
- Bonus points for experience with healthcare systems or EHR integrations like Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
