About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will help us evolve our data infrastructure and empower our analytics teams to deliver insights with speed and confidence. You will work within a highly motivated team that values modern tech stacks and cloud-native solutions, focusing on solving complex business challenges through agile development and high-quality architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of key projects by designing, implementing, and delivering robust data solutions and pipelines while collaborating with product managers and software engineers.
- Architect and optimize our data infrastructure on AWS, specifically focusing on orchestrating Spark-based pipelines within Kubernetes environments.
- Drive internal process improvements by redesigning observability infrastructure for better scalability, automating manual workflows, and optimizing database performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data engineering and cloud infrastructure. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in data platform ownership and enterprise data management.
- At least 3 years of production experience with AWS and 3 years in SRE, DevOps, or equivalent engineering roles.
- Proven expertise in Spark using Python or Scala, including managing workloads on Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of data modeling, SQL optimization, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment and thriving in an agile, entrepreneurial setting.
Location
This position is based in the United States and follows a hybrid work model.
