The role
We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer to join our enterprise data team on a full-time, hybrid basis in Spain. This is an executive-level position for a seasoned professional who is ready to take ownership of our data architecture. You will play a critical role in enabling our Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance departments to leverage data effectively to maintain our competitive edge.
Core responsibilities
- Collaborate with data architects, domain experts, and business analysts to design and implement scalable, best-in-class data platform solutions.
- Manage, maintain, and provide ongoing support for production systems, including Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, Power BI, and AWS Airflow.
- Build and automate AWS-native technologies, deploy applications, and provision infrastructure to ensure high-quality data delivery under strict service level agreements.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a commitment to industry best practices. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience, including 5 years specifically focused on large-scale data warehousing and modern data product management.
- Expertise in SQL, dimensional modeling, and performance tuning for complex ETL pipelines.
- At least 5 years of programming experience using Python.
- Proven experience with Snowflake, Apache open-source tools like Spark and Kafka, and implementing CI/CD solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to automate cloud-native technologies within AWS.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to synthesize business needs into actionable technical strategies.
- Fluency in English.
