Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Technology Services team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, with a strong preference for candidates who can work onsite in Columbus, Ohio, at least one week per month. You will play a key role in building the infrastructure that powers our gene therapy manufacturing and enterprise-wide analytics.
Your impact
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load information from diverse internal and external sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams to optimize workflows while ensuring high standards for data quality, security, and governance.
- Lead the implementation and adoption of modern cloud-based data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, to support our growing analytics needs.
What you'll need
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least 4 years of experience in data engineering, integration, or modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience managing both relational and NoSQL databases.
- A strong background in cloud platforms and a proven ability to perform performance tuning on complex data processing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English.
