Job Title: Data Operations Engineer II
Location: 222 N La Salle, Chicago, IL 60606
Job Description: Support data engineering and BI teams to ensure data pipelines are working correctly, platforms are up to date and functional, and systems are operating at their optimal efficiency. Generate financial and market intelligence by utilizing data archives and devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends. Utilize ETL concepts to formulate and maintain workflows for Fin Ops data using Alteryx and SQL within SSMS and Big Query. Create and maintain BI tools and databases and assess ongoing performance and usage. Utilize Looker to model data and generate standard or custom reports for review by stakeholders. Manage timely flow of BI information to users and disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements. Utilize BI tools and data to identify and monitor current and potential customers. Utilize Python to implement data modeling for generation of in-house marketing tools for demo and variable correlation. Create and respond to data audit alerts and conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs. Maintain the ETL transformation code as well as data security procedures and guidelines. Respond to queries in the support channel, propose solutions, and identify and remove unused objects. Create and deactivate accounts and expand user privileges when appropriate. 100% remote work is permitted; position is based out of our office in Chicago, IL.
Education Requirement: Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related.
Experience Requirement: 2 years of experience in Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related
Alternate Requirements: In lieu of a master's degree plus two years of experience, will accept a bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in the same fields.
Special Skills: Must have experience in each of the following: 1) Lead operations to automate and maintain ETL workflows for FinOps data using Alteryx and SQL and upload data on SSMS and Snowflake databases; 2) Utilize Looker BI Tool to model data and generate reports and analysis for stakeholders in the financial services industry; 3) Utilize Python to implement data modeling for generation of in-house marketing tools for demo and variable correlation. 100% remote work is permitted; position is based out of our office in Chicago, IL.
