Data Labeling Intern at Modern Intelligence

Right now, we are looking for two motivated Data Labeling Interns to join our growing team. You will be at the heart of our mission, helping us refine the intelligence that powers our machine learning models and artificial intelligence projects.

The opportunity

This role is designed for a student or recent graduate who wants to dive deep into the world of AI. As a member of our team, you will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable machine learning insights. You will not just be labeling data. You will also have the chance to contribute to broader software engineering and machine learning initiatives. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the United States where you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.

A day in the life

• You will annotate and label complex datasets with precision, ensuring that our models receive the high-quality input they need to succeed.
• You will perform essential QA and QC checks to maintain data integrity and optimize the tools we use for our labeling processes.
• You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to support ongoing software engineering and machine learning projects whenever you have downtime from labeling tasks.

Who you are

You are a curious learner who is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Geography, Geospatial Science, or a related field. You communicate clearly in English and enjoy working as part of a team. We are looking for someone who brings the following to the table:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high accuracy in your work.
• A foundational understanding of data labeling techniques and concepts.
• Bonus points if you have experience with machine learning concepts like object detection or segmentation, or if you have a background in geospatial and remote sensing technology.
