Data Integration Engineer III at Transcarent

We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer III to join our team in a fully remote capacity. By combining the strengths of Transcarent and Accolade, we serve over 20 million people as a leading provider of personalized health and care experiences, utilizing AI-powered tools to improve outcomes and access for our members.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements for data ingestion, transformation, and extraction.
• Lead integration efforts for new customer implementations by connecting external partner data to our systems.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that prioritize high quality and reliability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to deliver work in two-week cycles.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure consistent data health.
• Analyze complex healthcare administrative data, such as medical and pharmacy claims, to create clear source-to-target mappings.
• Contribute to innovation projects and suggest improvements for our architecture and automation processes.

Must-haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in a field like Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, or Business.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience working in database environments and data-centric testing.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, including change data capture and slowly changing dimensions.
• Experience working within Agile and CI/CD environments.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional technical specifications.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional experience with healthcare-specific data, such as enrollment or claims information.
• Exposure to Talend or similar ETL/ELT tooling.
