About the Role
We are seeking a Data Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our data platform while leading a talented team of engineers. This is a hands-on position where you will design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure, ensuring that our data systems remain robust and performant. You will play a pivotal role in defining our data strategy and roadmap, working closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions that support our mission of providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers to design and deploy scalable, reliable data solutions.
- Architect and maintain our data infrastructure while implementing data ingestion, transformation, and quality features to support analytics and business needs.
- Collaborate with product teams, architects, and business analysts to build effective data models and define our long-term data strategy.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of implementing complex data solutions at scale.
- 5 or more years of hands-on programming experience with Python.
- 3 or more years of experience in a leadership or team management role.
- 4 or more years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- 3 or more years of experience working with healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or X12.
- Expertise in modern data technologies including SQL Server, Spark, Databricks, and Kafka.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Location
This position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
