Divergent is a technology company that has revolutionized manufacturing through the Divergent Adaptive Production System, or DAPS. This end-to-end factory system utilizes machine learning to engineer, additively manufacture, and assemble complex vehicle structures. As a Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs, we are currently expanding our operations to address mission-critical needs within the aerospace and defense sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us scale our data infrastructure.
Key outcomes
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to move information from various sources into our data warehouse and lakehouse.
- Optimize the performance and scalability of our data pipelines to meet growing organizational needs.
- Implement rigorous data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our data.
- Create and manage data integration tools that allow stakeholders across the company to access information seamlessly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with third-party systems, including Jira, Splunk, Oracle, MES, and ERP platforms.
- Establish software development best practices to ensure high-quality code, effective testing, and timely deployments.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to support their specific data requirements and facilitate machine learning and business intelligence initiatives.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, data engineering, computational science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development and data engineering.
- Proven expertise in ETL, data pipeline development, and data integration techniques.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases, as well as programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and lakehouse architectures using tools like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Practical experience with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
