If you want to use your technical expertise to help turn groundbreaking science into life-saving therapies, we want to hear from you.
Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site role based in the United Kingdom, where you will work directly alongside our scientists and machine learning experts in our state-of-the-art laboratory environment.
Your impact
- Design and maintain robust pipelines to move complex lab data into our cloud and local environments, ensuring that our research teams have clear visibility into the data they need.
- Develop reusable ETL workflows that standardize data formats, implement versioning, and ensure data lineage is tracked across our entire ecosystem.
- Collaborate with our Data Science and Wet Lab teams to automate data quality checks and enforce strict governance, ensuring that all our data assets remain secure, compliant, and ready for advanced analysis.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a collaborative problem-solver who is passionate about the intersection of data and human health. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Approximately 4 to 5 years of experience in data engineering or data science, with a strong command of Python and SQL.
- Practical experience with Docker, Linux environments, and orchestration tools like Airflow.
- A solid grasp of data modelling, cloud infrastructure, and distributed computing frameworks like Spark, preferably within an AWS environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical requirements for stakeholders across our scientific teams.
- Fluency in English.
Perks and compensation
We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse team where every member can reach their full potential. As part of our team, you will enjoy:
- The opportunity to work in a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary environment at the heart of London.
- Direct involvement in high-impact drug discovery projects that aim to change the lives of patients.
- A collaborative culture that values unique perspectives and encourages professional growth.
