Have you ever wondered what it takes to power the technology behind a top-tier proprietary trading firm? At Trillium, we have spent over two decades building, testing, and optimizing our own trading systems to navigate US Equities, Options, and OTC markets. We are a team of independent thinkers and problem solvers who thrive on seizing market opportunities, and we are looking for someone like you to help us build the next generation of our data infrastructure.
What you bring
As a mid-level Data Engineer working in a full-time, hybrid capacity based in the United States, you will be the architect behind the foundation of our firm's analytics. You will move beyond simple maintenance to help define our enterprise data environment, ensuring our teams have access to reliable, automated, and scalable datasets. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Designing and maintaining automated data pipelines that support our dashboards, reports, and predictive models.
- Integrating diverse data sources and vendors into our existing ecosystem to ensure a cohesive flow of information.
- Establishing and upholding rigorous data governance, security, and quality control standards across all sensitive datasets.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who combines technical precision with a collaborative mindset. You should hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, supported by three to six years of experience in database architecture or ETL development. You must be proficient in Python and have deep expertise in SQL, including the ability to design complex data models and optimize query performance. A strong understanding of AWS services, cloud data platforms, and data orchestration tools is essential. Beyond your technical skills, you should be a clear communicator who can translate complex data concepts for stakeholders in finance, risk, and trading, ensuring that everyone across the firm can trust and utilize our data effectively.
What we offer
We believe in rewarding our team for their expertise and dedication. The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $140,000 USD. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and long-term growth.
- Comprehensive medical and dental insurance plans.
- A 401k retirement savings program.
- Generous paid time off and maternity/paternity leave.
- Pre-tax commuter benefits to assist with your travel.
- Opportunities to connect with the team during company retreats.
- A flexible hybrid work environment.
