Care Access is a unique, multi-specialty network of research sites that functions as a unified team of physician investigators, nurse coordinators, and operations managers. Our mission is to integrate clinical research into standard medical care, making it an accessible option for every patient. By removing traditional bottlenecks, we accelerate the delivery of life-saving therapies. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our technology team and help us continue building and maintaining our data architecture.
Key outcomes
- Design, configure, and implement effective data platform solutions and pipelines to store and retrieve data across diverse applications, specifically within the Azure stack while integrating with AWS and Google BigQuery.
- Support database implementation procedures to ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11.
- Manage the installation and organization of information systems to guarantee company functionality and produce detailed system topologies.
- Execute the migration of data from legacy systems to modern, innovative solutions.
- Monitor system performance through regular testing, troubleshooting, and the integration of new features.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into functional data systems and provide ongoing support and training to staff members.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or relevant certifications in big data systems or database administration.
- Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience in building, deploying, and monitoring data systems to perform ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong technical proficiency with Azure data products, including Data Factory, Data Lake, and Azure SQL Databases, as well as SQL and Python.
- Practical experience working with Databricks and Spark.
- Comfortability transforming data in standard formats such as JSON, Parquet, and HL7.
- Working knowledge of API connections, cloud infrastructure, and continuous deployment practices.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills to support team collaboration.
- Fluency in English.
