What you bring
As a Senior Data Engineer working in a full-time capacity, you will play a critical role in our collaborative environment. You will work on-site to build the infrastructure that powers our robotic platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Collaborating with research scientists and software engineers to develop robust software for various robotic platforms.
- Designing and maintaining data storage solutions and pipelines across both cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Scaling cloud-native data stores using Python and Terraform.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical foundation and a passion for data systems. You should hold a BS or MS in computer science, robotics, or a related field, and bring at least six years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or MLOps. Proficiency in English is required. You should be highly skilled in building event-driven ingestion systems and managing large, multimodal datasets using tools like Spark and Airflow. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes. A deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases is essential for success in this role. We value candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex data governance and integrity strategies.
